NRR214: Yan Jun "The Return of the Stupidity" C30

Following our years long Yan Jun trilogy we decided to do a fourth.
For starters, Yan Jun is my number one example of an artist doing what-ever-the-fuck they want. There is the rarest combination of true strength of convictions paired with zero fear of embarrassment, no desire for acceptance, or just other big balls activity.
I find him admirable like few others. I in-fact find him to be one of the most important artists pushing our style further. If not in sound, it absolute spirit.
"The Return of thy Stupidity" might be the purest one yet. The only percussion is a Soviet bomb, used like an instrument. then hurclean, air bruising vocal takes (one take!) of Yan hitting, screaming, semi-changing and above all dissolving into the physical. You can feel it in the room.
It starts off absurd and ends somewhere else completely. Like the abused kid who forgot what happened, just knows something once did. The beating keeps going but it can’t hurt you anymore. You don't even notice it.
The sheer endurance of it the physicality I envy that. He just went for it. Total commitment. A thing of beauty.
Cassette is strongly recommended for this one. Patence is required and rewarded. Probably the perfect No Rent tape. Pure, brave, serious.
Edition of 100, fold out cover with mini poster.
